About Our Program:
The Surrogacy Birth Support Program has been uniquely designed as a vital companion to the Surrogate’s traditional medical program. The program's intention is to create a personalized pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience for both Surrogates and Intended Parents. With the latest research and data on the complications of elective interventions to both the health and well being of babies and surrogates, our program will help provide Complete Informed Consent so that all parties can make informed choices.
About Our Services:
Surrogacy Birth Support Program Includes:
- Regularly scheduled pregnancy support appointments for Surrogates and Intended Parents (in person, phone or Skype) to discuss pregnancy, birth options and resources.
- Attendance of the Surrogate’s doctor or midwife appointments as needed.
- Alternative Birth Support (those wanting a birth/delivery at a birth center or home verses a hospital).
- VBAC Support (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Birth) for those who want to pursue a vaginal delivery after a previous C-section birth.
- Added Support for those experiencing a Multiple Pregnancy (twins or triplets).
- Birth and Postpartum Plan for both Surrogates and Intended Parents.
- Liaison with the birth facility to make the transition smooth and peaceful.
- Doula Birth Support for the birth and postpartum period.
- Postpartum support for both Surrogate and New Parents.
- Pregnancy, Birth and Postpartum Resources.
About Our Birth Support Leader:
Cyndi Gross has been a Labor Doula in the Orange County, California area for 18 years. She is Certified Perinatal Support Specialist (CPSS) and Certified Doula. Cyndi started her career for expectant parents as a Labor Support person in 1992, following her own experience having an unnecessary Cesarean birth in 1988. Her services have been highly recommended by Doctors, Nurses and Hospitals. The goal was to help women achieve the birth experience they desired while educating them on options if medical intervention became necessary. Cyndi also teaches advanced labor support classes to certify new doulas in this rewarding career and is the owner and founder of MyBirthTeam.com (www.mybirthteam.com). She is known for her compassionate one on one care and successful collaborative relationships with both traditional medical and alternative models of care.
